This case concerns, among other thigns, the date of the first Kenya's elections under the new Constitution. The elections are an important milestone in the implementation of the Constitution. Elections provide a chance for renewal and change. The first elections under the  Constitution will provide Kenyans with the opportunity to test their capacity for change as they will be required to choose new leaders whom they believe conform to the values and principles of the new Constitution and who are committed to ensure that the  dream of a new Kenya realised on 27 August 2010 is firmly  established.
